At the heart of the CSI Tiruchirappalli–Thanjavur Diocese stands the Diocesan Office—a centre of faith, leadership, administration and service.
More than an administrative establishment, the Diocesan Office is a space where the mission of the Church takes shape through people and ministries committed to serving God and society. It brings together episcopal leadership, diocesan governance, finance, education, child care, property administration and pastoral support, enabling the Diocese to carry forward its mission with integrity, compassion and excellence.
Under the leadership of Rt. Rev. Dr. S. Samuel Rajadurai, Bishop of the CSI Tiruchirappalli–Thanjavur Diocese, the Diocesan Office continues to evolve as a welcoming, efficient and people-centred space that reflects both the heritage and the forward-looking vision of the Diocese.

The Diocesan Chapel
A photograph of the diocesan chapel is to come.
Amid the rhythm of meetings, administration and daily responsibilities, the Diocesan Chapel provides a quiet and sacred space for prayer, reflection and communion with God.
The Chapel serves as a gentle reminder that behind every decision, every ministry and every act of service lies a deeper calling—to seek God’s wisdom and to serve according to His will.
Thus, while the Diocesan Office is a place of administration and governance, the Chapel remains its spiritual heart.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain.” – Psalm 127:1
Rooted in Heritage. Moving Forward in Hope.
The Diocesan Office also carries visible reminders of the rich journey of the Church and its continuing witness.
A monument commemorating the 75th year of the formation of the Church of South India stands as a symbol of gratitude for a heritage built upon faith, unity and service. As the Church continues this journey, the 80th year of the formation of the Church of South India is being commemorated and celebrated, marking another significant milestone in its shared history of faith, fellowship and service. The 80th-year commemoration is being celebrated on 10 October 2026, providing an occasion to honour the journey thus far and to look ahead with renewed hope and commitment. The wider CSI community is marking this 80th-year milestone during 2026.
As the Diocese looks towards the future, it remains grateful for the legacy entrusted to it while embracing renewal, innovation and excellence in ministry.
