The Department also advances its commitment to Dalit and Adivasi communities through capacity-building initiatives, livelihood-oriented support and efforts to promote the sale of indigenous products such as honey, tea, cardamom and pepper.
The Diocese seeks to uphold the dignity of Dalits, tribal communities and other marginalized groups, promoting equality, justice and inclusive development.
Rt. Rev. Dr. S. Samuel Rajadurai served as Director of the Department of Dalit and Adivasis concern of the Diocese, 2002–2008.
